Carta de Charlotte Painter a Francisco Ayala (18/02/1959)

February 18, 1959

Mr. Francisco Ayala

54 West 16th Street

New York, New York

Dear Mr. Ayala:

Some weeks ago, you heard from my colleague, Mr. Capouya, about Muertes de perro, which we regretfully declined. We have since talked this over, and have heard from Professor Amaral about the book, and we feel that we may have made a mistake. I wonder if you would be so kind as to let us reopen the matter, providing, of course, that you have not placed the book with another American publisher. I would be very grateful if we might hear from you.

Sincerely,

Charlotte Painter
